Common Questions

What should I bring to my first appointment?

To help us focus fully on your care from the start, please provide your identification and insurance information to the Confidant Care team prior to your first visit. We also ask that you complete the intake forms in your patient portal beforehand and have a current list of any medications or supplements ready for your visit.

How long does a typical evaluation take?

Initial psychiatric evaluations usually last 60 minutes. This extended timeframe ensures a methodical and thorough understanding of your clinical history, current challenges, and mental wellness goals.

Do you provide therapy or just medication management?

While our practice specializes in diagnostic assessments and medication management, we integrate supportive therapy into every session. We also believe in a holistic approach and often collaborate with external psychotherapists to provide comprehensive care.

How do I manage prescription refills?

Refills are handled during our scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure medication safety and effectiveness. If you require a refill between visits, please contact your pharmacy first; they will then reach out to us for review.
